Katey, Staff at the Center for Endodontics

Katey

I have been an employee at the Center for Endodontics for 13 years. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and I graduated from the Pierce College Dental Hygiene program in 2002. I specialize in anesthetizing patients comfortably and profoundly for their treatments here at our office. I also meet and evaluate new patients and perform radiographic and clinical imaging to assist in diagnosis for treatment planning. I am married and have a 2-1/2 year old son. We are expecting a baby girl in early July. One of our favorite places to getaway is Cannon Beach, Oregon where we celebrated our wedding 6 years ago. My husband and I absolutely love to travel and are certified scuba divers. For now our tropical adventures are on hold while we raise our young children. You can find our family out on our boat, camping, playing at parks, and hanging out at our place enjoying the company of our friends and family.

Kathleen, Administrative Staff at the Center for Endodontics

Kathleen

Hello, I’m Kathleen, and I have held the role of Office Manager at the Center For Endodontics since December of 2001. I joined the Center Team when the office was making the transition from our prior location at the Tacoma Mall Office Building to our current location. My responsibilities include accounting and business management duties and just about anything else that three doctors might need assistance with. I was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, continued my education at WSU and received my Baccalaureate Degree in 1974. I am the only WSU Cougar among the many Huskies here at the Center and proud of it!  My husband and I reside in University Place, WA where we welcome home our three adult children and their families every chance we get. My spare time is filled with family activities, shopping for my grandchildren, gardening, and travel.

What I love most about my job is getting to know patients on both a personal as well as professional level. I look forward to meeting you.

Epris, Center for Endodontics Administrative Staff

Epris

For more than twelve years I have enjoyed being an integral part of the front office team. Being the “Jill of all Trades” when I’m not at the front desk, I can be seen running around the Center For Endodontics office helping the doctors and dental assistants exceed our patients’ expectations in care. My husband and I have a baby boy who has made our lives better than ever! I’m constantly taking photos of him. It’s amazing how many pictures you can take in one day and still feel like you didn’t take enough! Everyday is a new experience with him and I’m cherishing every moment. Summer is my favorite season, the hotter the better! I love to spend time with family and friends and do most anything in the outdoors.

Rheo, Administrative Staff at the Center for Endodontics

Rheo

I have been the face you see when you enter the Center for Endodontics for the past six years. The thing that drew me into the Center for Endodontics was the energy you feel when you are here. I love that we don’t come to “work” each day; we come to “play” on a team of professionals where the number one priority is serving our patients and exceeding their expectations. It always feels great to know we have been able to impact, in some small way, the lives of our patients. Unlike many of the other ladies here at the center, I tend to resist the outdoors. When I am not working, spending time with my family or doing homework, you can find me sleeping! However, when I do venture out on a hike I am never sorry that I went. I also love to bake and am highly competitive when it comes to board games. You may have noticed that the front office team has unusual names. Fun fact: I am named after a Rheostat.

Megan, Staff at the Center for Endodontics

Megan

I have worked as Dr. Jordan West’s registered dental hygienist since he joined the practice in 2012 and have loved learning and growing beside him and his skills. I received my Associate Degree from Pierce College in June 2012 and then started working at The Center full-time starting in September 2012. From 2012-2013 while working full-time, I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Washington University. Currently, I own a home in University Place where I live with my pet bunny, Chester. During the weekends I can usually be found on a pool deck somewhere in Washington or Oregon coaching girl’s club water polo, but if I’m lucky I’ll occasionally be the one in the pool playing polo. If I’m not around a pool, I enjoy making memories with friends and family and spending time outside – hiking, skiing, swimming etc. In the next few years, I would like to start traveling more specifically to historical places such as Europe or tropical places like Tahiti. I love who I work for and the people I get to work with everyday. I can’t wait to see what the future holds here at The Center for Endodontics.

My family enjoys music in our spare time and currently my play list is varied and has AC/DC, Wicked the Musical, George Straight and “T-Swift” or Taylor, as you may know her. When I am not rocking out to 80’s rock and bubblegum pop I am outside riding quads, horses, camping and just enjoying family time. I look forward to meeting and treating your tooth soon.

Desiree, Staff at the Center for Endodontics

Desiree

I received my Dental Assisting Certification from Bates Technical College in 2001. I’ve had the honor of chair-siding and laughing with Dr. John West from 2001-2012. Since Dr. Jordan came on board in 2012, I have had the opportunity to be by his side and watch him MASTER his endodontic skills. My husband Mike and I have enjoyed over ten years together hiking, biking, snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, scuba diving, traveling and eating around the world. We team taught scuba lessons for a few years. Then in March of 2014 we welcomed our greatest adventure yet, our daughter. Being a mom changed me, however, you can still find me talking fitness and nutrition, singing throwback tunes and quoting old movies such as Steel Magnolias. I wish I could eat trail mix all day everyday and my guilty pleasure is Sea Salt Caramel Gelato. I crave coffee and sunrises and I am lucky to have a job I enjoy coming to each day.
